I am now beginning a series of blog posts that will document and bring you along on the journey of the recording of my new album- culminating with the CD launch on September 30, 2012!!!

This experience has given me the opportunity to evolve and grow in ways that I never could have imagined. 8 years of life experiences, lessons, elations, challenges, and inspirations can be found in the music and especially in the spaces in-between.

I’ve always believed in following my heart, my dreams, and my deepest souls path. This has been an extremely rewarding and equally challenging mission. There were many times when I just didn’t feel I had it in me to continue doing music, let alone record another album. I knew I couldn’t force the process or the timing. And the task could only be accomplished if I was being motivated by my soul. (vs my ego!) That means that every part of the process- from writing and arranging the songs, to finding the right musicians and studio, to delivering my vocal and instrumental performances, had to come from a place of integrity, authenticity and love.

So here we are, 8 years later and the dream is coming to fruition. Yipee!!! I feel like I’m 8.5 months pregnant and I’m about to give birth! What a precious gift to be at this stage, after so much preparation and hard work. A quick trip to Vancouver to visit my family this week, has given me the energy and motivation to cross the finish line on September 30th, 2012. Of course the finish line is really only the starting point for a new adventure.
